Pocahontas City Parks

Our city has several parks throughout the city. Thomas O'Marr Park, Overlook Park, Riverfront Park, and Baltz Fishing Lake, and the Chase McDonough Tennis Courts.

Black River Overlook Park

Located just off Hwy 62, Overlook Park features a walking trail, playground, pavilion area, fishing area along the Black River, and the commemorative wall.

Baltz Fishing Lake

Located just off Hwy 62, Baltz Fishing Lake has bass, catfish, and many other species.

Chase McDonnough Tennis Courts

Located just off N. Marr St. These courts are special to us and were made largely in part from the Make-A- Wish foundation on the behalf of a special young citizen, Chase McDonnough.

Thomas O'Marr Park

Located just off N. Marr St., Thomas O'Marr Park has several pavilion/gazebos available for rent as well as a large playground area.

Pavilion / Gazebo Rental Rates

Pavilion Rental- 4 hours-$20 / 8 hours-$40

Gazebo Rental- 4 hours = $20 / 8 hours-$40

Riverfront Park

Located off Dickson St along the Black River.

The park has several 30 & 50 amp hookups along with water hookups and a dump station. A reservation/ payment collection point is located at the park.

Rates for camping are $20/night for RVs and $10/night for tents.

Maximum stay is 14 days.

Two pavilions and a stage are also available for rent.
